Awards: 

Keeps track of programs, volunteers or other persons eligible for both state and county awards.

Hospitality: Tabitha Connell & Erika Thornsberry

Provides lunches, snacks, treats to all Oakhurst staff as defined by their committee. Helps coordinate hospitality aspects of general meetings and other PTA functions.

Internet Coordinator: Beckie Biglin

Sends out emails as needed with school and PTA news as requested by principal, PTA president or committee chairperson. Website developer.

Legislative Rep: Ted Liswith

Keeps the board and general membership up-to-date on legislative issues concerning students and school issues.

Membership: Debbie Sawa-Szostak

Oversees membership. Makes sure that membership numbers and dues are turned in monthly.

Mustang Publishing: Kristy Sherwood

Provides participating students with a completed published book.

Parent Room Rep: Marci Edmistons

Coordinates between PTA and each classroom rep, usually when we need volunteers for events.

President: Michelle Fox

Oversees all officers and committees. Sits as a member “exofficio” (by virtue of office) on all committee boards, except nomination committee. Works in tandem with Mrs. Wilson for what best works for Oakhurst students, parents and staff.

Programs: Michelle Alfred

In charge of the programs for our general meetings (at least 3 per school year). Also oversees Grandparent lunch week, SPIKE, birthday books and Mustang Publishing.

Public Relations: 

Publishes the monthly newsletter.

Safety: Suzanne Cruickshank

Keeps track of any safety issues brought to PTA’s attention. May work with school’s safety team. Coordinate a safety program.

School Spirit: Nicole Heath

Coordinates t-shirts orders. Also oversees the following committees: field day and talent show.

Secretary: Charlene Ptacek

Keeps minutes from previous meetings, both board and general. Creates agenda for upcoming meeting.

SPIKE: Rena Tuttle

Promotes daily reading, through monthly incentives Teacher Rep: Karen Lundquist Coordinates between PTA and Oakhurst staff.

Teacher Representative: Mary Hart

Treasurer: Britt Ferrell

Oversee finances. Should present a report of bank balance, plus the monthly income and expenses at every meeting.

Ways & Means: Krista Pincince

In charge of fundraising. This includes fundraisers usually done in Fall and Spring. Ways and Means oversees the Fall Festival.
